At Peepa’s Men’s Store, we’re more than just a shop—we’re part of a vibrant, joyful, and proudly local community. That’s why we love shining a light on the people who make Palm Springs such a special place to live, visit, and yes—look good in. This month, we’re excited to introduce two local guys who not only model some of our favorite looks, but also embody the spirit of our city: Dirk Schultz and Tony Calucci.
Meet Dirk Schultz: Coach, Creative, and Outdoor Enthusiast
Dirk moved to Palm Springs seven years ago, and he’s made the desert his sanctuary. You’ll often find him hiking the Frank Bogert or Lykken trails, soaking up the sun and reconnecting with nature. A published author, life coach, wellness expert, and outdoor enthusiast, Dirk calls hiking his “moving meditation” and embraces the desert landscape as a form of therapy.
What makes Palm Springs feel like home? “It’s a place where I can truly exhale,” he says. “This community has allowed me to live authentically, live proudly, and be the man I wanted to be.” And we have to say—he looks just as great in our summer styles as he does out on the trails.
Dirk also has an exciting, new project in the works: a podcast called The Holistic Homo, which just launched this week. It’s all about empowering listeners to “live bold,” featuring expert insights on everything from mindset, movement, and meals to finances and sexual wellness. We’ll definitely be tuning in—hope you do, too!
Meet Tony Calucci: Host, Swimmer, and Palm Springs Superfan
Like many locals, Tony’s Palm Springs journey began in the ’90s with a trip to the White Party. After years of visits, he made it official five years ago, relocating full-time—and he hasn’t looked back since. With a passion for entertaining, fitness, and community, Tony has become a true part of the Palm Springs fabric.
He swims daily at the city pool, explores the local dining scene, and loves cooking and hosting friends and family at home. A fan of both the outdoors and the arts, Tony often takes visitors up the Aerial Tramway or out for a night at the McCallum Theatre. “What brought us here was the people,” he says. “This is a community full of friends, art, and amazing things to get involved in.”
Tony’s advice for new locals or curious visitors? “Get involved! There are so many ways to be part of the community—from Modernism Week to the Film Festival. You just have to get yourself out there.”
Like Dirk, Tony will be co-hosting The Holistic Homo podcast. With both of them behind the mic, we know it’s going to be thoughtful, fun, and stylish—just like the hosts themselves.
Palm Springs Proud
We’re proud to feature Dirk and Tony, not only as models for Peepa’s but as standout locals who make Palm Springs a place where everyone can feel welcome, seen, and inspired. Come visit Peepa’s Men’s Store to check out the styles they’ve helped us showcase—and don’t be surprised if you run into one of them, whether you're out on the town, hiking the trails, or shopping with us at Peepa’s!
